In our area, many of the homes were built with crawl space areas and not basements. For a long time, these were created with vents which was intended to increase fresh air flow through the area and keep it dry. Unfortunately, this is rarely what happens. This is done using a method called encapsulation which is the installation of a series of vapor barriers, occasionally installed with insulation products, and are strong plastic and vinyl sheeting as well as covers to close off existing vents and a sturdy door that will seal the area totally and prevent any excess moisture from entering. Encapsulation will also prevent critters and animals from getting in the crawl space which will keep any equipment there safe and allow you to use it for storage. Once the crawl space is closed off, if necessary we will install a system of floor jacks to lift sloping floors above the crawl space.

Structural Foundation Repair
